You may have seen a post a few weeks ago announcing a new Tuesday series that I’m going to be starting that’s all about books! If you didn’t then please click here to read that post.
Today I wanted to start the series off by telling you all about a fantastic book that is not only an excellent read but it’s also supporting the Alzheimer’s Society too!
The book I’m referring to is A Nice Cuppa Tea which is the debut novel by the wonder that is Roz Tranfield.
Let me start by saying that all proceeds* from the sale of the book go to the Alzheimer’s Society which as you all know is a charity that’s very close to my heart.
The book is all about Roz’s journey caring for her Mother who had Dementia, it details the day to day struggles that she experienced as a carer and it’s just the sort of book that reminds people who are at home caring for loved ones that they’re not alone.
Personally I love books like this because sometimes caring for people with Alzheimer’s / Dementia can feel like a really lonely thing, so hearing other peoples stories and being able to relate to them is something I love!
I’ve been very lucky because I’ve had the chance to get to know Roz over the last few months and I can’t wait to share more of her story with you in blog posts over the next few weeks! She’s an amazing lady that is now doing so much amazing work raising money for breast cancer as well as the Alzheimer’s Society.
I’ll be telling you a lot more about Roz in future blog posts and I can’t wait!
The reason I’m telling you about this book today is because I’m just about to start reading it and thought that it would be nice if some or all of you read it too so that I had people to talk to about it! We’ve done things like this in the past and it’s always been really fun so I’m hoping we can do it again with this book!
You can purchase the Kindle version of the book on Amazon here for £1.49 or if you’d prefer to receive a paperback copy of the book for £15 then please fill in your contact details in the form below and I’ll have Roz contact you so that she can arrange for a paper copy to be sent out.
If you’d like to join in the conversations I’ll be having about this book as I read it then please follow me on one of my many social media accounts which you can find the details of by clicking here!
I’m also currently helping Roz get set up on Twitter so it would mean an awful lot to me if you could head on over to her Twitter page @AuthorRozT.
I’m not being paid to promote this book nor am I being paid to help Roz with Twitter, I’m doing this purely because I think everyone should hear Roz’s story and it’s nice to be able to help people out like this.
I’ll be telling you more about Roz over the next few weeks as well as posting a book review and an interview with the lady herself!
Thank you for taking the time to read this post and thank you also for helping me support other people and charities it means a lot.
I’m not telling any of you to buy the book, if you do then that’s fantastic but if you can’t afford it then that’s completely okay and I don’t want you to feel bad about it.
I love you all millions, thank you so much for reading.
*all proceeds after the publisher and Amazon take their cut.
