The Next Adventure…

I am currently sitting at The Acorn Theatre in Penzance watching Richard Digance prepare for his show this evening; I can’t believe how much my life has changed in one year.

There has been a lot happening over the last twelve months that I haven’t told you about, I think it’s now time for me to let you all in on the incredible year I’ve had and the even more incredible journey that lays ahead of me .

It all started last February when I attended the Richard Digance concert at The Carlton Little Theatre in Birkenhead, in the interval I asked Richard if I could interview him for this very blog, he agreed, we exchanged details and communications began.

As most of you will know I interviewed Richard at the end of April before his show at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek, but what I didn’t tell you was that in the months prior to the interview we had been discussing how I could use my ten years of experience working on the internet to assist Richard.

By the time we conducted the interview we were ready to start working together and a week after the interview I travelled to Wiltshire to visit Richard, on that visit his YouTube channels were born. Originally there were three channels but with the new YouTube changes in mind we have decided to merge them all in to one.

Over the course of the year I travelled back and forth to continue working with Richard on various things, it has been a brilliant year,  the finale of that year as well as the start of the superb new journey lies in the fact that Richard and I together with a team of incredible people have started a new company.

The new company, of which I am a director, is called Lilypaddle Ltd. It is a multi-media production company that houses a catalogue of creative works from Richard, myself and other creators.  The business is already doing fantastically well, so much so that we are in talks with a company based within the legendary Pinewood Studios who are interested in collaborating with us.

I know that we are now a month in to the new year but I honestly don’t have a clue where January went, we were so busy with Lilypaddle that January is a complete blur and so I find myself sitting here watching Richard and his excellent support act Eric Sedge warm up as I write a blog post that I should have written weeks ago telling you all about what has been going on in my life.

Last year was an interesting year, January was a brilliant month and I know that the rest of this year and the years that follow are only going to keep getting better. I’m really looking forward to taking you all on the next stage of my journey as I transform from a creative writer who has been doing what she loves for years into a company director who is going to be able to keep doing what she loves for the rest of her life whilst working alongside some truly amazing people. What an incredibly lucky woman I am!

If you would like to see Richard and Eric on tour this year then you can find a full list of tour dates by clicking here, it really is a truly fantastic show that I highly recommend you all go and see! Below is a song that Eric wrote and performed about Richard’s incredible 50 years on the road, the video was filmed live at The Stables, Wavendon in September 2017.

Now, let’s start this new adventure!
