If you’d prefer to listen to the audio version of I’m Interviewing Richard Digance & The Broadside Boys! then you can do so by using the SoundCloud Player at the bottom of the post or by subscribing on iTunes here!
This blog post has been pinned to the top of my blog so if you’re looking for my latest posts scroll down, they’re underneath it or on the righthand side of your screen depending on what you’re reading on… do make sure you read this one first though if you haven’t already because in this post I have a very exciting announcement to make!
I’m going to be interviewing the legendary folk singer, poet, artist and comedian Richard Digance!
I’ve made a playlist of ten of my favourite Richard Digance songs / poems which I’m going to put here so that if you want to listen whilst you read the rest of this post then you can! There’s a bonus song at the bottom of this post too because it’s a song I couldn’t find on Spotify!
The timing has worked out perfectly too because I’m going to be interviewing him on the 29th April 2017, just two days after my blog’s 10th Birthday! So, I’ll be closing the month long 10th birthday / anniversary celebrations by interviewing a man who’s work I have admired for a long time and who is as I said celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his career!
I was lucky enough to see Richard Digance play in a town not too far from where I live recently and it was a fantastic show and so I’m very much looking forward to seeing him play again!
The Broadside Boys are supporting him on his tour they are a brilliant folk duo who are on their first ever UK Tour and honestly Richard is awesome but it’s worth seeing the show just for them, it’s been a while since I’ve seen a support act that I’ve genuinely enjoyed but I really did enjoy The Broadside Boys!
I’m also in the process of putting an interview together with them as well which is something else that I’m really looking forward to!
Here’s a playlist that was compiled by YouTube of some of The Broadside Boys most popular songs! They’re not currently on Spotify so I couldn’t make my own playlist, this is a good one though!
If you have any questions for The Broadside Boys too then please also send them through! Make sure you tell me who your question is for just in case it isn’t obvious… you know I need it spelling out to me sometimes!
As promised here is my “bonus” favourite track by Richard Digance “Letter From Afghanistan.”
You can also find them both on social media,
Thank you so much for reading! I’ve made two more announcements today too so make sure you check them out as well!
