If you’d prefer to listen to the audio version of Michael Jackson – Bad – Music Monday #27! then you can do so by using the SoundCloud Player at the bottom of the post or by subscribing on iTunes here!

This post is the latest edition of Music Monday, a series in which I give you an exclusive look into my ever growing record collection!

Every Monday I pick a record from my collection completely at random and then I write about it! In today’s post the album I’m going to be talking about is Michael Jackson – Bad!

This album is available on Spotify so I’ll put a player here for you so that if you’d like to listen to it whilst you read the rest of this post then you can!

Is it really necessary for me to write an introduction explaining who Michael Jackson was? Is there anyone alive and able to read this that doesn’t know who he was?

Michael Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer and actor, he was also known as The King Of Pop and oh god he really was!

I’m actually struggling to write about him right now, he was such an entity, an icon a genuine legend that I don’t think he can really be summed up in a few words.

He made his professional debut in 1964 with his brothers in The Jackson 5, he began his solo career seven years later in 1971 and well the rest as they say is history…

Bad, the seventh studio album from Michael Jackson and his third studio album released through Epic Records, was released in 1987 and is classified as one of the bestselling albums of all time!

It’s funny, the more admiration I have for a performer and the more I respect their work the harder I find it to write about them because I feel like whatever I write doesn’t do that work any justice.

Bad is without a shadow of doubt my favourite Michael Jackson album and I’m just completely clamming up right now!

Let’s take a look at the track list:

Side One:

  • Bad
  • The Way You Make Me Feel

If you ask me, Afrojack, Nero and Pitbull had no business whatsoever touching Michael Jackson’s songs. I mean way to try and stay relevant guys, but no.

My favourite tracks are

Side One: The Way You Make Me Feel

Side Two: I Just Can’t Stop Loving You

As I said before though this is my favourite Michael Jackson album and I love it all! This is also one of the albums that I listen to when I need to put a little more sass into my workout!
