Using Poetry To Stitch Myself Back Together..

I’ve been unable to stop writing poetry all night / day and I’m not going to lie I’m so happy about this, if I’m writing poetry then it means I’m healing.

Although a lot of the poetry I write is very sad I can’t write when depression is drowning me, only when I’m healing and I can look back and reflect without wanting to run to the nearest bridge.

So to me at least it’s a really healthy sign that I’ve not been able to stop.

There’s a hell of a lot of crap for me to process now so um, stand by for a lot of poetry over the next few weeks? Months? Years? Who knows!

I think Saturday is going to be the day that I upload my poetry, I love Saturdays and I love poetry so it makes sense.

Anyway I just felt like having a quick ramble so I’ll end this post here. If you’ve not read the poem I uploaded in the wee small hours of the morning then please click here to read it, it’s called Haunted and it’s the first poem that I’ve written in over a year!

I hope you’re all having a great Saturday, comment down below or tweet me @MissCharlotteEm and tell me about it! 🙂

  1. Hi!
As someone who uses poems to keep himself together, I concur. Poetry is a great way to vent out. However, a word of caution. Often looking back at your writings at later times, you’ll find yourself taken back to the exact moment you’d written them. For those minutes, you will be bleeding again. And that can be very spirally! It is up to you to come back. 🙂

    1. Thanks for your comment! It definitely helps me, I mean I’m no great poet but I don’t try to be, I just sit down and let the words happen 🙂 It definitely helps me heal, 🙂 x
